People are already fed up with AI and I’m in support of the reasons they are. AI is already getting really annoying and the most disconcerting cost, outside of the obvious threat to human work, is environmental. These data centers full of GPU’s burning water, electricity and fuel so we can be artificially told how dumb we are seems really bleek to me.
Great interview from Visla about the person behind the Seoul-based collective the Internatiiional. In my book, 임솔 Lim Sol and his friends have been on the tip of every trend in design and DJ culture.
Watch
Louisiana Channel has been producing great interviews aimed at artists for years now. Their short documentary on the Korean artist 이우환 Lee Ufan is quite touching and I didn’t realize his Japanese background.
I’ve plugged SPNS TV here before, but I really enjoyed the first episode of their series on Korean history. The first episode was about 서재필 Phillip Jaisohn, the first 교포 gyopo, amongst many other things.
Listen
The obvious recommendation here, especially for hip hop heads, is the new Clipse album ‘Let God Sort Em Out’. The long awaited album keeps growing on me and I enjoyed their interview on Popcast.
Speaking of reunions, Super Junior is furiously out there promoting their 20th year as idols. The new single ‘Express Mode’ is whatever, but it’s impressive these dudes are still at it. ‘Mr. Simple’ can’t be eclipsed in my book (linked above.)
